We've collaborated with Liverpool Half Marathon organiser to release Runners Gin
Liverpool Half Marathon race organiser BTR collaborates with local gin producer, Turncoat Distillery to launch "Runners Gin" in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the BTR Liverpool Half Marathon. The event will take place on St Patrick's Day (Sunday 17 March) has recently sold out with a staggering 9,000 runners signed up to take to the streets of Liverpool.
Head of Turncoat Distillery, Edward Ridding commented: "The whole team here at Turncoat Distillery are over the moon to create Runners Gin in collaboration with such an iconic Liverpool event. Especially as a number of the team are actually competing in this year's 30th anniversary BTR Liverpool Half Marathon. In addition to enjoying a wonderful gin, runners are also able to order a bottle of the limited edition Runners Gin with their finishing time engraved on the bottle."
Runners Gin is a special edition London Dry style gin with an ABV of 40% made in the heart of Liverpool. This special edition is limited to 200 bottles, with runners able to purchase their bottle with or without their finishing time engraved. The gin bottle label artwork echoes the St Patrick's Day colours of green and black, as adopted by BTR Liverpool for the event race numbers, medals, T-shirts, and hoodies.
BTR Race Director Alan Rothwell added: "This really is a milestone year for the BTR Liverpool Half Marathon – the 30th anniversary of the race and the biggest startline numbers since 2013 with 9,000 registered. It's been a real pleasure partnering up with Turncoat Distillery. We are both independent with a similar ethos – to offer our customers something a little bit extra special. We know this year's race on St Patrick's Day will do just that – and giving runners the chance to buy a bottle of Turncoat Runners Gin to commemorate this anniversary year – and even have the bottle engraved with their finish time is very much a first for us."
This latest collaboration sees Turncoat Distillery going from strength to strength since the business was saved in February 2023. \
